Edward studied medicine at the University of Melbourne and went on to undertake specialist training as an obstetrician and gynaecologist at the Royal Women’s Hospital.

He completed further sub-specialist training in ultrasound at the Royal Women’s Hospital, and the Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg. He holds Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) Certification in Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound (COGU).

In addition to his work at WUMe, he works as a consultant sonologist at the Royal Women’s Hospital. He is also a consultant obstetrician in the Fetal Medicine Unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital.

Edward understands that having an ultrasound scan is an anxious time for many women. He brings a compassionate approach and an attention to detail to his consultations. He enjoys explaining the ultrasound findings to patients at the time of the scan. He finds it very satisfying to assist patients and treating doctors in solving complex clinical problems with ultrasound.
